Visit to Surveys and Lands Department, Sabah, Malaysia

President Randolf Sevidal Vicente with Honorary President Pingeran Matusin Matasan visited Lands and Surveys Department in Sabah, Malaysia

In line with fostering regional cooperation and encourage exchanges between organizations, President Randy with Honorary President Matusin visited the office of Datuk HJ. Safar Bin Untong, Director, Lands and Surveys Department of Sabah, Malaysia on 9 April 2019.

They were toured around the facilities of the Department. Director Safar and staff discussed and explained the functions of his office and the technical processes involving survey data and output generation.

A meeting was also convened after the tour of facilities. Discussions include the invitation and request of President Randy to Director Safar for the support, in terms of delegates and technical/plenary resource persons, in the upcoming 15^th Southeast Asia Survey Congress to be held in Darwin, Australia on 14 – 18 August 2019. Director Safar assured ASEAN FLAG its support by his confirmed attendance and participation of technical resource persons from his Department.

After the meeting, President Randy expressed his gratitude to Director Safar and his staff and for a very productive meeting. Towards the end of the meeting, a handed-over a token of appreciation was carried out.

A fitting dinner with Director Safar’s family and friends was likewise organized.
